Amongst towering poplar trees on a sloping landscape, a level home site was delicately carved into the land. PLUSEN tied this property into the greater surroundings by using mostly native plant material and blurring the line between the built and the natural environments. After crossing a curved stone bridge, the arrival court provides the foreground for the farmhouse architecture. An informal swimming pool is fed by a natural stream water feature that appears to flow from the surrounding woodland.
